As a class activity we walked through "Art of the Title" to get some font, color and title ideas for our genre of film. I learned that comedy genre films have more colorful and bold fonts that pop out at you; while, mystery genre films have more neutral colors and simple fonts so that the background is captured. Since my group is doing a drama, mystery, suspense film, we looked at multiple opening credits to movies such as "Skyfall", "Split", and "Grease". A title sequence that I thought was done well was "Skyfall" because it was basic, yet eye catching. This sequence consisted of white letters, bold font, and very colorful and adventurous backgrounds. The website provided additional comments to the title sequence such as "following the new direction of the franchise: modern, relevant, big."
