Our group decided to do a horror/suspense film because we all love watching the type of films that keep you on the edge of your seat. We also chose this genre of film because when we were brainstorming ideas for the plot of our film, we decided this was the best idea to carry out into filming. In the beginning of the film, it starts out at the University Town Center Mall because we wanted to show the audience the group of girls having a great time and not realizing the stalker following them home. In this film we have a lot of foreshadowing to create suspense and make you question what is coming next. Lighting was a big deal in our film because we wanted to have it darker to create a sense of reality and mystery throughout the film. Our film uses a few over-the-shoulder shots to display the point of view of the stalker and to promote a sense of frightfulness. During the process of our filming, we had to adjust the lighting to get the perfect shot. For instance, the filming that took place inside the house was darker/dim, and the lighting during the day at the mall was lighter and more bright. Additionally, we made a few improvises to our script while filming to make it seem more realistic. Instead of having matching pajamas, we all just wore Christmas ones. We also added the scene of the group of girls eating pizza before watching their movie because it created a sense of reality and sequence to the film. Furthermore, the dark figure appears next to Lily as she is grabbing her bag from the car, and not in the mirror behind her because the audience would not be able to see the dark figure in the mirror as clear, since it was night time. Mid-shot in the car to show the girls talking about their fun day of shopping. These girls are totally oblivious to the fact that a stalker followed them out of the mall. Wide shot from behind the girls in the car to show them talking about their day of shopping and the movie they are watching later that night. Long shot as the girls are walking out of the mall to set the time and place of the film, as well as to portray the girls as unaware of their surroundings. Over the shoulder shot to create suspense while the stalker is following the group of girls out of the mall. Mid shot when the girls are talking about their plans for the rest of the night. Pont-of-view shot when the group of girls is watching the scary movie with their popcorn and matching Christmas pajamas. For the storyboard I had the idea to have the over-the-shoulder camera shot of the stalker following the girls out of the mall to create suspense. Also, I had the idea of creating a mid-shot of the girls watching their horror movie on the couch to display how they were having a great time, until they weren't.

For the script I came up with the idea of the stalker standing behind our main character, Lily, as she grabs her bag out the car at night. Additionally, I came up with the idea to have Lily leave her bag in the car and have to go outside and grab it at night by herself.

Our main character for this film is a girl named Lily. In the story, she is the hostess of the sleepover and the driver of the car home. Lily is described as a very happy person who likes to adventure with friends. To play this role we chose a girl named Lily Sikorski because she is very outgoing, loud, and has a big personality. In this film she is the teenage girl who is scared by a man in a black hoodie. We knew that Lily had a very projective voice and does not get stage fright in front of the camera or crowds. She was the perfect fit, us the directors, had in mind for our protagonist. Our next character was Lizzy, Lily's friend. We wanted to make it seem realistic, so we chose actual real life friends of Lily's for the film. Lizzy was picked for this role because she is very social and is funny. The first step of our filming will take place at the University Town Center Mall. With scheduling we will have to make sure to find a day when all of the actors and directors are available. Since we will in Florida, the weather will fluctuate throughout the process of filming because it rains a lot and we have the time change coming up. For our indoor shot at the mall our goal is to shoot a clip where us girls are having a good time and are clueless. To create suspense we will have a man in a black hood follow them home from the mall. Throughout the filming process we will make sure we have access to props and video equipment.
