"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2" is a sci-fi/ thriller film that was released in 2015. This film targets the teen population because it is the fourth to the sequel and has grabbed their attention so much, that there are now four Hunger Games films. My film also targets the teen population because it is a teen sleepover with aspects of everyday lives of teens today. The film was first premiered in Berlin on November 4, 2015. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2" was released in theaters November 20, 2015 in both the United States and China. This film was distributed by Lionsgate, which is a well known and respected company. Additionally, this film was the only one of the series to be widely released in 3D. It was released day-and-date across 87 countries, starting from November 18, in certain markets like Belgium, Brazil, France, Netherlands, Australia, and the United Kingdom, etc. The producers cut a thrilling trailer that would leave people on a cliff hanger since it was the last series of the film and people were excited to watch it. This film can be streamed on Amazon Prime, VUDU, iTunes, Google Play and EPIX. For our film, we would have the movie play in the theaters for 90 days, then be able to stream on DVD, On Demand and Amazon Prime. These distribution methods would allow for us to target our teenager audience and increase our sales.
For our quarter three submission we revised some parts of our film. We re-shot the beginning of our film to slow down the pace of the film. We also added new fonts and coloring in the beginning of our film for our names and opening title, to have special effects and make it more personal. Our original titles were red and had no effect, so this time we added a pop-in special effect for "Girl's Night" title to create a theme for the film. Additionally, we added incidental music at the end of our film to create suspense and mystery. All these revisions were made to add a sense of reality and more suspense throughout our film. Throughout this new submission I learned how to edit sound and put it in the film, how to add special effects to titles, and how to work with PremierePro at a higher level.
