Casting

Our main character for this film is a girl named Lily. In the story, she is the hostess of the sleepover and the driver of the car home. Lily is described as a very happy person who likes to adventure with friends. To play this role we chose a girl named Lily Sikorski because she is very outgoing, loud, and has a big personality. In this film she is the teenage girl who is scared by a man in a black hoodie. We knew that Lily had a very projective voice and does not get stage fright in front of the camera or crowds. She was the perfect fit, us the directors, had in mind for our protagonist. Our next character was Lizzy, Lily's friend. We wanted to make it seem realistic, so we chose actual real life friends of Lily's for the film. Lizzy was picked for this role because she is very social and is funny. Additionally, our next character, Annalise, is playing the role of Lily's friend. She was picked for this position because she is the quiet one of the group and looks out for us. Lastly, our mystery figure is the "Black Hood." This figure is first shown at the mall following the group of teenage girls, who have no idea they are being followed. He then appears outside the house of the sleepover, still unknown to the girl's.

Third Quarter Submission

For our quarter three submission we revised some parts of our film. We re-shot the beginning of our film to slow down the pace of the film. We also added new fonts and coloring in the beginning of our film for our names and opening title, to have special effects and make it more personal. Our original titles were red and had no effect, so this time we added a pop-in special effect for "Girl's Night" title to create a theme for the film. Additionally, we added incidental music at the end of our film to create suspense and mystery. All these revisions were made to add a sense of reality and more suspense throughout our film. Throughout this new submission I learned how to edit sound and put it in the film, how to add special effects to titles, and how to work with PremierePro at a higher level.

Audience Engagement Research-The Irishman

The film "The Irishman" appeals to all age groups, but mainly older men and younger women. This is a history movie, so it attracts an older crowd who experienced the same events as the characters in the movie did. Also, it captures the attention of younger women because they are featured throughout the film and they did not experience the same events as the older men did, so they are inclined to learn about the past. Our movie, "Girls Night", is a drama, mystery, suspense, and comedy film that targets teenage girls and men. "The Irishman" is a drama, mystery, and suspense film with use of intelligent humor throughout. The film "The Irishman", also uses foreshadowing throughout the film to keep the audience engaged and lines of dry humor to keep the audience laughing. Our target audiences are similar because teenagers go see movies with vulgar language and men go see movies about events they have experienced in their lifetime. "The Irishman...
