The film "Skyfall" is a mystery/suspense and action/adventure film from 2012. This film is part of the famous and well-known series with James Bond. "Skyfall" is about James Bond's latest assignment gone wrong, then leading to a turn of terrible events. Undercover agents and MI6 agents were compromised and under attack; Bond turns to one of his only trusted sources to solve this problem. The film starts out with Bond drowning in the ocean and being sucked into a hole. The hole presents Bond's cut out board body with a bullet hole in the right upper chest, with guns around him, a lady following him, and himself in action. The first two minutes of the film let us know that James Bond has been shot, that he is looking back on his career, and a women possibly shot him since she is pointing a gun at him. The film uses camera shots such as close-up, two-shot, long-shot, tilt, and aerial shot to set the plot for the rest of the movie. The movie also uses editing techniques such as eye line match, non-continuity system, action match, cross-cutting, insert transitions, and long takes to leave the audience with suspicion. Additionally, the film uses sound such as source sound and theme to link to the other James Bond films and to set the tone of the movie. The film uses mis-en-scene techniques such as make-up, costumes, props, lighting, and filming on location to create suspense and reality. In the opening credits, the production company, the directors, the producers, and the actors are featured on the screen. The budget given to the film "Skyfall" was $200 million and it ended up making $1.109 billion worldwide. At the time of its release it was the highest-grossing film worldwide for Sony Pictures and the second highest-grossing film of 2012. The film has been nominated for 35 different awards and won 12 of them; Empire Award for Best Film, Empire Award for Best Director, etc.
For our quarter three submission we revised some parts of our film. We re-shot the beginning of our film to slow down the pace of the film. We also added new fonts and coloring in the beginning of our film for our names and opening title, to have special effects and make it more personal. Our original titles were red and had no effect, so this time we added a pop-in special effect for "Girl's Night" title to create a theme for the film. Additionally, we added incidental music at the end of our film to create suspense and mystery. All these revisions were made to add a sense of reality and more suspense throughout our film. Throughout this new submission I learned how to edit sound and put it in the film, how to add special effects to titles, and how to work with PremierePro at a higher level.
