How did you incorporate technology in the process? To film our movie we used an iPhone XS camera at 1080p HD at 60 fps. Using an iPhone made filming easy to transport between locations and upload to the computer to edit. After we finished all our filming, we uploaded the scenes to Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and cut scenes. I had never used Adobe Premiere Pro before and neither had anyone in my group, so we all helped each other out and gave it a try. The first thing we did as a group in Adobe Premiere Pro was edit all the scenes together to make the film flow. We ended up having to trim some scenes down in the beginning and end of the film because we were close to three minutes instead of two. Lily was the main editor of the group because she got the handle of Premiere Pro sooner than the rest of us did and had the flash drive with our film edits on it. How did your production skills develop throughout the process? Throughout the process of creating this film, my production skills have immensely developed in a variety of ways. For one, I was mainly the person working the camera because I had the idea for all of the over-the-shoulder shots from behind the stalker to create suspense amongst the audience. In the beginning, I filmed the opening scenes of our film with the camera upright and vertical, so I had to re-shoot those shots in order to film sideways or horizontal and be able to edit later. Acting was a challenge for me because I don't like the camera following my every move or having to fake emotion, but after a few re-takes my group and I got the hang of pretending to have a certain emotion and portraying it on film. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?  Throughout my audience engagement research I learned a lot about how to appeal to your audience and how to grab their attention. One of the things I learned from researching the movie The Heat, was that appealing to peoples pathos made the audience laugh and feel sad at certain points throughout the film. This technique is great to use because it keeps your audience engaged and interested all throughout the film. Another technique I learned from researching the movie The Irishman, was that using foreshadowing throughout the film keeps the audience intrigued and more willing to watch the entire film. After conducting my research on how films market their product, I have found out that social media outlets such as Facebook and YouTube were used to promote the film. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? Conventions With my film being classified as a horror/mystery and drama film, we used traditional conventions such as short takes, foreshadowing and a white lettering font. These conventions were purposely used to make the audience aware of the stalker, while the characters in the film had no idea they were being followed. The short takes were used near the end of the film as the stalker closes in on Lily because it adds suspense and intensifies the mood to go from slow paced to heart racing. Foreshadowing was used throughout the film with scenes of the stalker in dark clothing following the group of girls throughout the mall and all the way home. This convention was used to keep the audience interested and to implicate that something terrible will unfold later in the film. For our quarter three submission we revised some parts of our film. We re-shot the beginning of our film to slow down the pace of the film. We also added new fonts and coloring in the beginning of our film for our names and opening title, to have special effects and make it more personal. Our original titles were red and had no effect, so this time we added a pop-in special effect for "Girl's Night" title to create a theme for the film. Additionally, we added incidental music at the end of our film to create suspense and mystery. All these revisions were made to add a sense of reality and more suspense throughout our film. Throughout this new submission I learned how to edit sound and put it in the film, how to add special effects to titles, and how to work with PremierePro at a higher level.
